Literature Weekend

Where : The Ropetackle Centre, Shoreham-by-Sea
Prices : Panel Events - £8.00 / Workshops - £10.00
- Joint discounted tickets for any 2 events - £15.00
- Weekend Ticket (for 2 panels and 2 workshops) - £30.00

Ropetackle logoThe two day Literature Weekend will host a number of successful authors from major publishing houses.

Each day will feature Meet the Authors - an opportunity to hear the authors talk about their books and to ask them questions, and Writing Workshops - a wealth of advice from the authors.

There will be book signings on both days.

Saturday 14th June 2008

  • 12 Noon Meet the Authors - Peter Gutteridge, Laura Wilson, Liz Rigby and Sue Walker
  • 3pm Workshop - The Dark is Everywhere in Fiction – if you think crime fiction is only about police chasing killers, think again, crime novelist Sue Walker explores the ever expanding boundaries of the genre.

Sunday 15th June 2008

  • 12 Noon Kate Mosse in Conversation
  • 3pm Workshop 1 - Writing Fiction: Don’t Lose the Plot led by Jan Henley
  • 3pm Workshop 2 - Location, Location, Location led by Sue Walker. This workshop will examine why choice of location is a pivotal tool in building plot and developing characters.
